Decorative Satin Glass

SUM GLASS offers an extensive range of decorative glass products. Coated glass is among the most popular options, available with various types of coatings. Some coatings serve purely practical purposes, while others combine practicality with decorative appeal.

Decorative glass is often the result of one or more processing steps (e.g., laminating, toughening) within a production cycle. During these procedures, designs are applied to the glass sheet using organic or non-organic materials, such as enamel or ceramic frit. Alternatively, a thin layer of the glass surface may be removed through techniques like engraving, sandblasting, or acid etching to achieve the desired design. Additional processes such as CNC cutting, drilling, bevelling, or polishing can also be performed as needed.

This catalogue includes brief descriptions of various types of decorative glass, including decorative laminated glass and decorative coated glass (e.g., back-painted glass, silkscreened glass, and printed glass).

Printed Glass

Printed glass is an ideal medium for artists, photographers, and designers who wish to render their artworks durable on a sheet of glass or between two sheets.

As long as the printable material complies with relevant laws and regulations, printed glass can also be used for marketing and other purposes, blending artistic creativity with digital technology.

One advanced process involves printing a high-resolution image (1440×1440 dpi) directly onto a sheet of glass or between two sheets of laminated glass. This high-tech, professional printing procedure utilizes six colors plus white (CMYK, Lc, Lm, White).

Printed glass serves as a striking decorative element for interior spaces and is designed to resist color changes for up to 50 years, even in outdoor environments.

SUM Glass currently employs UV-ink printing, one of several methods for achieving high-quality printed results. Many customers choose to have their own patterns or images printed onto glass sheets, tailoring their interior design projects to their personal preferences. To ensure the best outcome, any submitted image must be high-resolution and compatible with the printer.

It is worth noting that all types of coated glass are capable of being toughened or undergoing secondary processing. These products embody beauty, strength, and safety
